I caught Covid two weeks ago, a few days after my daughter and granddaughter caught it. It spread to my son and partner. I am fortunate to have received Paxlovid early on, but it was still a crappy experience. My partner and son took longer than I did to recover, but were all still experiencing fatigue and other symptoms like coughing. I returned to work this week, and I’m lucky that my boss and coworkers are very compassionate and understanding. This toxic work ethic is totally internalized ableism and capitalism. It sucks.
