And so ends chapter 7 on a cliffhanger. Is it the soup? The salmon mousse? Or something else? Find out in two weeks when the next chapter begins.
If you were looking for new pages of Fetch’s adventures in the Otherworld, I regret to inform you that I am still writing the next two chapters of Otherworldly Goods. Until I write it, I can’t really draw it. There are times in that past when I have composed a page or two (or even a few) where the drawing is the writing — a technique favored by many great comics artists in the past, like Jack Kirby (no slouch). But I generally don’t work that way.
Back when I started the story in 2018 I had outlined the whole series up to the final chapter. As often happens, the plans changed as I wrote, finding new inspirations or deciding directions I felt were better for the story to go. Now I have to reconcile some of those decisions with the main story and revise the outline. Honestly, that wouldn’t be much of a problem were it not for health issues I have been dealing with that really slow things down.
In the meantime I am starting to add more features to this website. For example, here are two drawings I added to the Characters page: Fetch and Kevin, my cartoon alter ego. I plan to add more drawings until the page is fleshed out.

I created a page to list the chapters for the Otherworldly Goods storyline. I hope this helps make navigating the site easier while I figure out how to get categories to work in subdomains.
My next site update will be fleshing out the character descriptions on the Characters page.
I have spent the last few weeks transferring Fetch comics from Mooretoons to this site, ten year’s worth of content, including the blog posts I wrote for each page and backdated to the dates when they were first published. I am finally caught up to the present with page 26 of Otherworldly Goods, Chapter 7: All the Ails That Cure Us.
Whew.
There are a few things I still want to sort out with the site. Like getting categories to work, fleshing out character descriptions, and other features. But for the most part this is a functional website, so all new Fetch pages will start appearing here. The Mooretoons site will be converted to a blog and portal to the comics that I am currently working on and the ones I have archived, as well as hosting the gallery of illustrations I have done.
I am taking this week off to enjoy the holidays, but I will resume next week in a new year with hopefully better prospects than what we have endured as a global society in 2025. If you are interested in my political cartoons, check out What Now. My plan for the year is to alternate weeks between Fetch and What Now, so that I can tell the Otherworldly Goods story (and whatever stories come next) on one site while satirizing politics on another. I hope to see y’all then in either place. Happy New Year!

I thought I could fit a cartoon into my usual work schedule, get a furnace fixed, celebrate my granddaughter’s birthday, revamp my website, and manage other personal problems all in the same week. Well… I was wrong.
I expect to get the cartoon I intended for this week up next Sunday. It’s actually written and even laid out! I just gotta draw it.
I am in the process of transferring nearly a decade’s worth of material from Mooretoons to this site, dedicated to Fetch comics and stories alone. It might take a minute.
